Moving the needleOur overall aims are to help start conversations and move the needle around the BME agenda in the workplace. We will build robust solutions that organisations can put in place to improve or kick start an area that has been lacking within diversity and inclusion.
Organisations say they are not doing enough around the ethnicity and race agenda. As a result we are launching the pioneering IER conference bringing together and engaging over 100 organisations to empower, educate and inspire around this agenda, and energise those to take key action back into the workplace. 2017 strategy
Phase 1: Engagement & Research: Engaging over 50 organisations across various sectors to look at current positions, best practice and barriers through our eight Action Groups and round tables. To use this information to create recommendations with practical actions Phase 2: Educating & Learning: Conference to educate organisations to help to move the needle and create actions that will lead to sustainable change. Create a standard of recommendations. Phase 3: Measuring Success & Showcasing Employers: Encouraging employers to take actions back into the workplace by working through a matrix of recommendations, and recognise employers and individuals investing in ethnicity & race with our List.* *Organisations and ambassadors who have made an impact will be recognised in The Telegraph’s Top Employers Investing in Ethnicity & Race supplement in February 2018.
