BUSINESS CATEGORIES

Outstanding Employer *
This award recognises overall outstanding achievement and is the most distinguished of the corporate categories. 

​*To nominate your organisation for this award, please submit through the Maturity Matrix. 


Network Group (ERG)
Network Group or ERG is awarded to those companies which have gone above and beyond in helping to positively impact the BAME agenda within their workplace.


Workplace Hero 
The workplace hero award will go to a BAME diversity champion who is able to exhibit that they have worked passionately to move the dial on the BAME agenda within their workplace. 


BAME Future Leader
The rising star category recognises those that have initiated processes or have started to work on this agenda within their organisation.

Champion (Ally)
The BAME ally recognises those that are able to demonstrate that they have effectively helped further the BAME agenda within their workplace.

​
​BAME Inspirational Leader
This category recognises senior leaders that are able to show they have helped others on this agenda, both within and beyond their organisation as a positive role model.

PUBLIC CATEGORIES

Inspirational Public Figure Award
This category recognises an inspirational figure from public life, who has used their fame to raise awareness or create change.

Brand Award
This category recognises a brand that continually promotes inclusiveness and seeks to represent identities of every kind in their marketing and advertising.

Charity or Community Initiative Award
This award recognises a charity or community initiative that has worked to advance the recognition or enhance the lives of BAME people.

​Influencer Award
This award recognises an influencer who has used their presence online to raise awareness or create change for BAME people.
​
Outstanding Contribution to Communities Award
This category recognises an individual that has been a positive role model and has made an outstanding contribution to their local community.

Media Impact Award
We are looking for an act of significance for the BAME community which has taken place in the media, from factual events witnessed on the news or in print, to fictional events which have taken place on stage, film, TV or radio.

Politician Award
This award recognises a politician who has ensured that the BAME community is accurately represented.

Legacy Award
This award is the most prestigious and recognises an individual who has made a significant difference to the representation of the BAME community, dedicating a significant proportion of their life to advancing inclusion.

Process

Nominations have now closed. The Top 8 list for each public category has been compiled from the highest number of nominations for and by the judges for corporate categories. 

The Top 8s have been announced here online and through our media partnerships.
​

The consumer and celebrity Top 8s are then voted for by the public, whilst the corporate categories are decided by our panel of independent expert judges.

AWARD CEREMONY 


​The award ceremony will take place on 25th October 2019 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.

Attendees will include famous faces, politicians and business leaders from blue chip companies.
